Munroe & Oxford Streets
Goldblock – a mixed-use development project nine miles north of Boston in Downtown Lynn.
Phase I – the renovation of the Tolman and Belkin buildings was completed in 2001 and sold to Munroe Partners LLC in 2010. The building currently houses The Daily Item, among other tenants.
Phase II – the renovation of the 35,000 sf Sherry Building (formerly the Goldberg Furniture store) into condominiums wascompleted in 2004, resulting in nineteen residential condos in the upper four floors and four office condominiums on the ground floor on the Munroe Street side. Phase III – the acquisition and demolition of the Tucker Building (former Lynn Hardware) in 2004 marked the final stage in preparing this 16,000 sf site for redevelopment. This site currently houses an urban garden tended by the Food Project.
